Auburn House Concerts is thrilled to welcome back the exceptional fiddle virtuoso Athena Tergis, this time joined by the traditional Irish button accordion master, Christy Leahy! This special event promises an afternoon of outstanding music and learning.

Athena Tergis: Born in Manhattan and raised in San Francisco, Athena Tergis is a renowned fiddle artist who won the Jr. National Scottish Fiddle Championship three times consecutively. After immersing herself in Irish music in Ireland, Athena joined The Sharon Shannon Band, starred in Riverdance on Broadway, and toured with Clarence Clemons. She has collaborated with Mick Moloney in The Green Fields of America for over 20 years and performed with prestigious orchestras such as the Dublin Philharmonic and the Orchestre National de Bretagne. Her solo CD, A Letter Home, has received international acclaim. More about Athena

Christy Leahy: Christy Leahy hails from County Cork and learned his music through local sessions and set dancers. His energetic and rhythmic button accordion playing has earned him recognition as one of the leading exponents of the instrument. Christy toured with the traditional ensemble North Cregg and released a duet recording with pianist Caoimhin Vallely in 2010, which received widespread acclaim.
